Get to Know Dr. Gilbert
Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, Dr. Kimberly Brady Gilbert is proud to call the Texas Panhandle home. The only child of Dr. Chris and Ronnie Brady, she grew up surrounded by dentistry. From an early age, she spent countless hours in her father’s dental office—sometimes “treating” her teddy bears in the dental chair with toy instruments and oversized gloves!
Her love for the profession only grew over time. As a teenager, she assisted her dad on weekend emergency calls and participated in dental mission trips, combining her passion for helping others with her faith. For Dr. Gilbert, dentistry has always been more than a career—it’s a calling deeply rooted in family and service.
Life Outside the Office
While in high school, Dr. Gilbert met her future husband, Kent Gilbert, thanks to a pair of good friends who set them up on their first date. The two married in July 2000 and have been inseparable ever since. Kent supported Kimberly through dental school while completing his own graduate degree in Environmental Science.
During her final year of dental school, they welcomed their first daughter, Bradyn Beth—whose name pays tribute to Dr. Gilbert’s maiden name, Brady. Two and a half years later, their second daughter, Riley Delyn (affectionately known as “Rooster”), joined the family.
Today, the Gilberts enjoy a wonderfully full and active life. Their daughter, Bradyn, is a student at Lubbock Christian University, majoring in Biochemistry with a pre-dental focus, aspiring to follow in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather. Their younger daughter, Riley, is a student at Amarillo High School, where she plays cello and guitar, sings in the youth choir, and stays actively involved in her church community.
Family time remains a top priority for Dr. Gilbert and Kent. No matter how busy life gets, they make it a point to gather for home-cooked dinners, pray together, and share plenty of laughter along the way.
Beyond Dentistry
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Gilbert enjoys reading, skiing, and traveling with her family and friends. In the winter, you’ll often find her carving the slopes in New Mexico, and in the summer, hiking those same mountains. The Gilberts have also made unforgettable memories traveling together to places like Scotland, Ireland, Alaska, and across the United States.
Active in their faith, the family attends Grace Church, where they continue to grow together and serve their community.
